Montgomerie Maxx Royal Golf Club

The Montgomerie Maxx Royal is Colin Montgomerie's first Mediterranean design, opened in 2007 and built on pure sand among the mature umbrella pines that define Belek. The 18-hole, par-72 layout stretches to roughly 6,500 metres (around 7,000 yards from the back tees) and is unusual in carrying six par-3s, six par-4s and six par-5s for a relentlessly varied round. Generous fairways are pinched by 54 bunkers, seven lakes and a winding stream, rewarding accuracy off the tee. The club hosted the European Tour's Turkish Airlines Open in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2019, and its floodlit back nine lets you play late into the evening — a rare night-golf experience on the Turkish Riviera.
