Fact-checking policy

Last updated Reviewed by Reviewed by SooTransfer dispatchPublished by SooTransfer editorial

We treat factual accuracy as a safety issue. A wrong pickup time means a guest stranded at 3am; a wrong price means a destroyed trust relationship. This page documents how we keep the numbers, distances and operational claims on sootransfer.com accurate.

Our four-step verification

  1. Primary source. In our editorial content (guides, articles, comparisons) every claim starts from a primary source: the hotel's own website (facilities and policies), the airport authority (terminal info), or measured GPS data (distances). We do not start from a third-party aggregator. Automatically generated route-summary pages instead show clearly-labelled modelled estimates for distance, duration and "from" price — the exact figures are confirmed by our dispatch team when you book.
  2. Second-source cross-check. Quantitative claims (price, distance, duration, capacity) are confirmed against an independent secondary source — Google Maps, the operator's own published table, or a known-good competitor's listing. Mismatches flag the claim for hold-and-review.
  3. Dispatcher sign-off. Operational claims (pickup points, terminal locations, hotel meet-spots, common delays) are reviewed by an active SooTransfer dispatcher before publish. We do not publish operational guidance no working dispatcher has confirmed.
  4. Date-stamped review. Every page carries a human-visible "Last updated" timestamp matching the most recent editorial review, plus a machine-readabledateModified attribute that search engines and voice assistants consume.

What we will not publish

  • Unverified third-party claims presented as fact
  • Prices we have not seen quoted ourselves in the last 90 days
  • Hotel facility lists that have not been spot-checked against the property in the last 12 months
  • Distance / duration numbers without a measurable source
  • Customer reviews that cannot be traced to a verifiable booking

Errors and corrections

If you find a mistake — an out-of-date price, a renamed hotel, a wrong terminal — please email [email protected] with the URL and what should be different. Verified errors are corrected within 48 hours and the page's "Last updated" timestamp advances to reflect the fix.

Visible signals of freshness

  • Last updated date on every editorial page
  • Reviewed by attribution on guides and policy pages
  • Per-price expiry in our JSON-LD offers (one-year forward), so search engines know our quotes are current
  • Sitemap lastmod rebuild on every editorial change
