Open-air opera and ballet in a 2,000-year-old Roman theatre
Every summer Aspendos's perfectly preserved 7,000-seat Roman theatre hosts world-class opera and ballet companies — Bolshoi, La Scala and the State Opera of Türkiye among them. Performances start at 21:00 under the stars, with the original Roman stage building as backdrop. June through mid-September.

What time should we arrive?
Doors open at 19:30. Arrive by 20:15 to find your seat, buy water, and settle before the 21:00 start.
Is there a dress code?
Smart casual. Most patrons wear summer dresses, light jackets or open shirts. A light layer is essential — the stone cools fast.
Can we eat before the show?
Yes — Serik town (10 min from Aspendos) has good lokantas. Many Belek hotels offer an early "opera dinner" 18:30 setting.
What if the performance is rained out?
Most Aspendos performances rain or shine. Cancellations rare but possible — refunds via the box office, SooTransfer waives waiting fees.
