Turkish law requires child seats
Turkish road traffic law (article 78) requires child restraints for all children under 36 kg or 150 cm. The fine for non-compliance is significant, and insurance doesn't cover accidents involving unrestrained children. Many airport taxis don't carry child seats; ours always do.
Booking with children
- Infant 0–13 kg: rear-facing infant capsule (Maxi-Cosi or similar)
- Toddler 9–18 kg: forward-facing seat with 5-point harness
- Child 15–36 kg: booster seat with seatbelt routing
- Above 150 cm or 36 kg: standard adult seatbelt
