Topkapı Palace

Topkapı Palace was the seat of the Ottoman sultans for almost four centuries: a walled city of courtyards, kiosks and treasuries on the promontory above the meeting of the Bosphorus, the Golden Horn and the Marmara. Inside are the imperial Harem's tiled corridors, the Spoonmaker's Diamond and Topkapı Dagger in the Treasury, the Sacred Relics chamber and terraces with the best water views in the old city. It stands at the Sultanahmet end of the historic peninsula, next to Hagia Sophia and Gülhane Park. From Istanbul Airport (IST) the drive is about 50 km, roughly 60 minutes; a SooTransfer private car brings you door-to-gate with meet & greet, flight tracking and free waiting included.
